Mixed Hosta Seeds for Planting Outdoors
Mixed Premium Hosta Seeds
Perfect for woodland borders, shaded pathways, under-tree groundcover, and patio pots, Hostas return reliably year after year, growing larger and more beautiful each season. As an added bonus, they send up delicate, elegant stalks of lavender and white flowers in mid-summer, attracting lovely pollinators to your yard.
Why You’ll Love This Mix:
- The Perfect Shade Solution: Thrives effortlessly in partial to full shade where other flowers struggle to grow.
- Stunning Foliage Variety: Expect a surprise mix of textures, from smooth and glossy to deeply cupped and rippled leaves.
- Long-Living Perennial: Plant them once and enjoy gorgeous, resilient coverage that returns bigger and stronger every spring.
- Excellent Container Choice: Perfect for creating lush, dramatic focal points in patio planters and porch pots.
Short & Easy Outdoor Growing Instructions
- Timing: Sow outdoors in spring after the final frost when night temperatures stay consistently warm.
- Location: Pick a spot with partial to full shade (filtered morning sun is best) and rich, well-draining soil.
- Sowing: Press seeds lightly onto loose, moist soil. Do not bury deeply; cover with just a thin 1/8\text{-inch} layer of fine soil.
- Watering: Mist or water gently to keep the soil consistently damp but never waterlogged.
- Germination: Seedlings will typically sprout within 10 to 21 days under warm, moist conditions.
- Spacing: Once a few leaves develop, thin or transplant the seedlings 1 to 2 feet apart to allow room for mature growth.

Really good product
Took a little longer to germinate than my annuals, but that's normal for hostas. They look great under my garden trees now!
Happy with the germination rate. Growing them in pots on my veranda. Healthy, lush green patterns are already showing.
Excellent seeds! They sprouted well and make the perfect lush groundcover under my large garden trees. Very reliable perennial choice.
Planted these along my shaded pathway and they are growing beautifully. Hostas are coming back bigger this season. Can't wait for the summer blooms!
